Newport® Lite

This prefabricated hip orthosis has been developed for post-operative total hip patients. It is a lightweight, easy-to-wear, effective orthosis designed as a prophylaxis to prevent dislocation until the disrupted musculature has healed sufficiently. It is also useful for nonoperative patients requiring increased hip stability. The neutrally positioned Newport Lite thigh cuff also serves as a reminder to high risk or potentially noncompliant patients to restrict hip flexion and avoid adduction. It was specifically designed as a low profile system for those patients who do not need a more comprehensive orthosis and contains a lined plastic pelvic belt.
