Pediatric Hip Abduction Splints

Pediatric hip abduction splints

Pediatric Hip Abduction Splints maintain concentric reduction of hips in patients with hip dysplasia. This orthotic design replaces spica casts and harnesses for some presentations of neuromuscular and developmental hip dysplasia. The one-piece polypropylene orthosis holds the infant in 90 degrees of hip flexion and 60 degrees of hip abduction. The adjustable model offers easily adjustable abduction from 40 to 180 degrees. This abduction splint is available in five sizes and fits infants from 6 – 12 pounds and up to 18 months of age.
