Carbon Supra-Lite™ AFO

The Carbon Supra-Lite is a comfortable and low-profile, prefabricated leafspring AFO designed to provide support and correction for individuals with mild to moderate footdrop. It is manufactured with injection molded polypropylene to allow for different thicknesses throughout the orthosis. The carbon rebound feature provides a dynamic aspect during walking. It comes with a proximal Velcro strap and distal dorsum strap(?), and is available in four sizes to fit both men and women. The heel cut-out is a unique design feature that allows use in a variety of shoes.

Indications

• Patients up to 220 lbs (100kg)
• Ankle and foot management
• Dorsiflexion assist during swing
• Allows some plantarflexion at heel contact
• Mild dropfoot
• Mild spasticity

Contraindications

• Severe ankle instability
• Moderate to severe spasticity
• Moderate to severe ankle and foot deformities
• Fluctuating edema
• Very high or extreme activity (consider custom AFO)
