Orthomerica developed the STAR Cranial Care Program (SCCP) as the prerequisite training for all Starband customers. Developed by the worldwide leaders in cranial remolding orthoses, the content and format deliver the most comprehensive approach to cranial remolding programs. The SCCP provides fundamental and basic instruction preparing qualified clinicians with the knowledge to provide the best possible care and treatment for infants with deformational plagiocephaly, brachycephaly, and dolichocephaly, as well as post-operative craniosynostosis.
This course has been awarded 10 (S) continuing education units (CEUs) by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC). All registrants must complete the SCCP with a minimum of 80% proficiency in each individually quizzed course and module. All 10 modules must be completed within 60 days of enrollment.
It is the clinician’s responsibility to make sure the online educational course falls within the specific scope of practice for appropriate CEU awards. If you have any questions, please direct them to ABC at (703) 836-7114.
Applicants are required to be an active Orthomerica and/or Starband customer, with an account in good standing. These applicants are directed to click the Register Now button above.
After your registration form is submitted, an Orthomerica representative will contact you within 3 business days on the next steps, including payment details, your Orthomerica University enrollment key, and an introduction to a Customer Success Manager upon completion of the SCCP.

Tuition for the SCCP is $500. Discounts are available for Starscanner and SmartSoc users, new Starscanner and SmartSoc purchases, O&P students, qualified All-Star Team members, and new Starband clinicians meeting minimum volume requirements. Pricing details will be provided after approval and prior to registration.
Tuition is payable by credit card only (We do not accept AMEX). Please note: we will not bill to your Orthomerica account.
